While I also liked the look of initials painted on paint chips, the bigger initials had more color and personality. They were also more fun to make.
You can’t tell at all in these photos, but the backing paper for the letters is actually off-white and has a lot of texture to it. In person it makes them a little more interesting than just a plain white background.
They were pretty simple to make. After deciding on a color, I just flipped through a magazine until I had a good number of clippings in the chosen color. Then it was just a matter of layering the clippings onto the letter.
I can’t wait to see how they all look hanging up in our apartment. But that won’t be until mid-August.
